Dan Dickinson - Board of Advisors

Dan Dickinson is a member of the InvestLinc Board of Advisors, and the chairman of G.A.S. Capital, Inc. (GASC), the holding parent company of a diverse group of worldwide aviation-related companies and affiliates. Their business is buying, selling, brokering and leasing commercial and business aircraft, helicopters, engines, and spare parts worldwide. Together, the companies produce in excess of $130 million in annual sales, and employ 15 people. The development and expansion of businesses have always been through the nurturing of win/win partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and 50% of GASC’s business is offshore.

At General Aviation Services (GAS), Dan implemented innovative ideas and developed the untapped international business aviation marketplace to make GAS the leading company in GASC’s organization, as well as creating GAS’ market research position long before the average dealer. He oversaw $1.4 billion in aircraft sales under his leadership, and implemented a successful succession plan to lead GAS into its third generation of ownership. Dan also recognized the need for small power generators, and through Gas Power Systems developed the 1.2 MW Innovator Genset using the Lycoming T-53 turbine engine. He sold the majority interest of this company to American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) in January 2001, but retains a board position. Dan also developed INN, an Inventory Navigation LLC which specializes in the purchase, sale and lease of commercial airline engines and related engine material, known for their outstanding trace documentation and superior customer service. Dan attained his commercial flying rating and sold his first aircraft prior to graduating from Western Illinois University. He is type rated in the Learjet 35/55, Beech 400/A, Citation I/II/500, King Air 300/350/1900, has in excess of 10,000 hours total time, and holds a CFI/AI certificate.

Dan has been active with the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA), an organization formed to establish ethics in the marketplace, since its inception, and served as its President, Vice President, and Chairman. He serves on the Duncan Aviation Customer Advisory Board, on the Board of Trustees and as Executive Committee Advancement Chair of St. Norbert College, on the board of AEP Gas Power Systems, and as the Board Chair of Inventory Navigation, LLC. He is passionate about his family and team building, and enjoys boating and cruising the Great Lakes.
